About ![]()
Many things about barbershop harmony resonate with us personally, and each of us has our own story about how we got involved.

Karen Williams - Tenor RU smarter than a 5th grader? Karen definitely is! She is an assistant 5th grade teacher, & her teen-age daughter keeps her up-2-date on the latest in texting/pinging. Karen sang with Vienna-Falls Chorus from Virginia when they won the International competition in 1988, so she has a big, shiny gold medal that she wears proudly and often! She also sang with Region 14's 1983 champion quartet, Independent Party.

![]() Vickey Collom - Baritone Vickey got hooked on barbershop music and began attending the rehearsals of the Gold Standard Men's Barbershop Chorus in North Carolina, where she met her husband. It was quite a while before she discovered that women sing barbershop too! She originally lived in Mint Hill, a small town close to Charlotte, but she grew tired of "city" living and now hails from Pageland, SC. She lives "out in the sticks" in watermelon country where her closest neighbor is a herd of cows! She has been a member of the Queen Charlotte chorus since 1986 and has been the baritone section leader for 16 years. She is also the assistant director. She sang with Starlight Express and IT Takes Four quartets before joining Finders Keepers.
